New Year

Well, I haven't posted in a while. Such is life. I was thinking about this blog and what I should keep writing about. The idea of defining myself was fun, but I really ran out of things that define me. The fact is, my interests, personality, morals, and characteristics are always changing. Sometimes I wish I were a cowboy and others I want to run for president. The fact is, there's only one way to know who I am and that's to get to know me personally.

So it's time for a new topic. I don't know how long this will last, but I came up with this 2 minutes ago while I was chatting with someone on facebook about my new goal to not be pathetic. 2 minutes ago I decided that I was going to set a new year's resolution to be less pathetic. "But it's not new years today", you may say. Well that's true, but everyday starts a new year. So for now my topic will be the random things I've decided to set as new year goals, each and everyday. We'll see how long this lasts, but it should be fun. I hope to hear your comments and please share you goals too!

I just saw La La Land and wanted to share my thoughts about it. The movie tells the story of how an aspiring actress and a struggling jazz musician help each other find love through the struggle of achieving your dreams. Overall, it was a decent movie with some catchy music. Here are some things that stood out to me: * I loved the raw, immature sound of the lead actors voices. At first it was distracting, but as the film progresses it pulled me in and helped me feel like these were regular people like me. * The musical number at the beginning of the movie didn't seem to fit. It seemed like it was just a way to introduce that this was a musical but didn't really add to the story. * When Mia's car got towed, how did her roommates get home? Small plot hole, but it bugged me for a while. * There were a lot of plot holes. What happened to the band? What happened in between fall and winter at the end (trying not to spoil too much)? New Beginnings

I've been thinking a lot lately. I've been think a ton lately. Okay, let's be honest, I've been thinking so much that I think I'm starting to go a little bit crazy. Maybe I should say, a little more crazy. Anyway, what have I been thinking about? Life, the universe and everything. And I've come to a conclusion. The answer is 42. No, just kidding. That's really not it. But I have been thinking a lot about life and where I fit in. And I did come to a conclusion: I don't really know who I am. Sure, I'm Tyler Tolley, but I have no idea what that means. It seems everyday I'm redefining a new aspect of my life. Some days I wish I were a cowboy and some days I wish I were the president of the United States. The fact is, I really don't know who I am and that's so cool! I felt like it's time for another self-defining blog posts, but I couldn't think of anything amazing to write about. Then I realized something so extremely unique about myself that I couldn't help but spew out this amazing gift on my blog. I am an Imaginator Extraordinaire.
